JAXON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well everyone Jaxon finally made it here safe and sound! All 7 pounds 13 ounces of him! He is 20 inches long and ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess I can start from the beginning and let you know how the whole thing started. My due date was July 3 and I had my weekly doctors appointment on July 1. Having been dialated to a one for three weeks at this point and showing no signs of labor i asked my doctor to strip my membranes while he checked my cervix. Being only two days away from my due date we were ready to get this baby out! So my doctor went ahead with my request and sure enough i was still just a one. When he left the room i turned to James and said, "I think i just peed on the table." I stood up and sure enough the table was soaked!! But not with pee...... my doc. ACCIDENTALLY broke my water! So he told us to go home, pack our bags, and head to the hospital. We arrived to St. Marks around 7 P.M. on Wed. July 1. They took us straight to our room and started me on my I.V.'s. I wont drag this out and explain every last detail, but just over 26 hours later and after 2 hours of pushing little Jax arrived at 9:44 P.M. on thursday July 2!! He gave us a little bit of a scare and had to spend two and a half days in the NICU because of his saturated oxygen levels so unfortunately we couldn't take him home with us the day we left, but luckily we got to go back the next day and pick him up!! He is so precious and so pure and we are LOVING every moment of parenthood! I cant believe he is already almost a week old! I can already tell he is going to grow up way to fast :(

Wow labor makes you look awesome huh?

My Belly!!

I am officially less than a week away from my due date now and DEFINITELY ready for this baby to come. Maybe if I make a public announcement he'll understand that it's okay now and that we are ready for him! The car seat and stroller are ready to go and his crib is up and atom, but I'm having some serious trouble uploading some of the pictures onto here so this is all everyone will get to see for now. This is a picture of Jaxon's bed. My mom did all of the sewing and made the WHOLE thing! All I really did was pick out the fabric and iron it before she sewed. But I'm really happy with the finished product, and most of all it's totally unique!I'll have to keep trying to get the other ones up so that you can see the full crib. But that will have to come later.

I always try to guess how big he's going to be by putting either my hands over my belly or his shoes/clothes up against it. Everything is SO cute when it's tiny!

This is the view i have had for the last two or three months. I think my feet are still there??

AND HERE IT IS!!!!! THE BIG BAD BEAST OF ALL BEASTS!!!!

Playing Catch up!

Well i know it has been a while since I last updated our blog so I'll try to fill you in on whats been going on in our lives. We just celebrated our TWO year anniversary an cannot believe how fast the time has passed. I told James that I would plan it this year because he did last year. We didn't want to do anything over the top with the baby coming so soon and all so I told James when he got home from work to get into church attire and that we had a reservation at 7:00. He doesn't like to get dressed up so it did take some convincing, then he started worrying that we were going somewhere expensive. He for sure thought we were going to The Roof. Before dinner I had told him that we had to stop at my parents house because my dad was going to replace our car battery for us. (which is true, he did do that) So we got to my parents and walked inside to a table set for two with candles, a red table cloth, some sparkling cider, and some "romantic music."Because I'm currently not working I was able to go over to my parents house while James was at work and set the whole thing up. We ate steak, baked potatoes, asparagus, rolls, salad, and for dessert some chocolate cheesecake!!! It was all very tasty! It was nice to sit and have a meal just the two of us with no t.v. or distractions. I'm sure we looked a little goofy sitting in my parents front room, that is under construction, in our church clothes eating over candlelight, but we had a great time!! Thanks mom and dad for helping me set it all up!!!

This week was our niece Reagan and our niece Kaylen's birthday party at Willow Creek Country club. It was fun to get the family together and swim. Well, mainly watch the kids swim. i did get in the water near the end of the party and it was SO neat to feel so weightless with my huge belly :) here are a few pics from the fun filled night we had!

My ADORABLE niece Kaylen

Cameron is such a water baby. He didn't want to get out of the water even when his lips were purple! He loved to be thrown in the air by his dad.

Here is james throwing our nephew Camden up and into a back flip

Cameron again being thrown into James

James demonstrating how to do a back flip...although he's not doing much tucking. but don't worry he gets all the way around :)

Camden is one brave little man! He was doing back flips off of the starting blocks and everyone was able to convince him to move to the diving board. Out of about 10 tries he only hit his head on the board twice!!

He cried a little........

But was right back up there flipping again!
Cute Cameron just runnin around

I only got one picture of two of the girls, but i could have sworn i got more! This is kemry and Lauren after they were jumping off of the diving boards. I'll have to take more of madison and Reagan next time! And for sure Rylee when she comes!!!

Softball facial

Well everyone here is a before and after shot of james's poor face after his little softball accident. We spent a few hours in the E.R. last night and they had to stabilize his teeth (OUCH!) then this morning we had to go back to the hospital for him to have oral surgery. I must say the results look MUCH better!! I feel bad because i know he is in alot of pain, but he is quite the trooper and doesn't even complain. He is way stronger than i am that's for sure!!! Lets just say THANK GOODNESS for insurance, WOW! He is back home now and recovering quite well. Im just keeping him pumped of Lortab :) Let this be a lesson learned to everyone who plays softball....Always protect your face!

Pregnancy

I will be the first to admit that I am terrible when it comes to updating my blog. I either forget to take my camera places, or nothing worth blogging comes up. But once Jaxson (??) gets here I promise I will be better about posting things.
Being pregnant has so many pro's and so many con's that people always ask me about. So I have decided to share my top 5 from both sides so here we go!
Top 5 favorites:
1- Feeling my whole belly move when he wiggles
2-When James lays on my stomach and talks to him
3-My growing belly! (It is so amazing to think about all of the things that go on inside of there and that every day i grow so does he.)
4-Looking at little baby clothes! Everything is so cute when it's tiny.
5-Everyone is so nice to a pregnant woman! Even people i dont know :)
Top 5 least favorite:
1-When he sits in my right rib and i can't breath
2-Not being able to sit up without James's help and feeling like im 80
3-Waking up with back pain from sleeping on my back all night
4-Being so emotional over food
5-Worrying that everything is going to be okay
As much as i dislike all of those things, experiencing just ONE of the pro's makes it all worth it. Only about 11 more weeks until James and i take the leap into parenthood and i must say i am most excited to see how james will interact with our little guy because he is so excited. And i didn't think it was even possible, but it makes me love him even more!

Look at that profile!!!!

Well everyone here is the very first picture of our little man!! Bald and skinny! Isn't he cute he he. Definitly a boy, showin off his muscles for the camera :) It was so amazing to go to the doctor today and not only find out the gender, but to hear that our baby is growing at a healthy pace and has no serious complications. I still cannot believe that there is a human being in my stomach! It is pretty surreal feeling and I dont know when it is going to sink in that I am actually PREGNANT!! And that in just four short months James and i are going to have this little boys life in our hands relying on us for everything. It's kinda scary, but I am so happy that i have James to go through this amazing transition with. Going from husband and wife to mom and dad has to be one of the coolost most spiritual feelings in the world and i caannot wait for the little guy to get here!!!
