Surprise, Surprise,.....A BIG SURPRISE!!

This is how I told James he was going to ba a daddy!! It was a huge surprise to the both of us so i really wanted to shock him. (They weren't lyin when they said birth control is only 99.9% effective) But that's okay! We are both super excited to join the world of parenthood!!
So anyways, I took a test one morning when James had already left for work and of course it came back positive. So i finished getting ready for work and off I went. Once getting to work i walked to the store and bought another test just to be sure haha. So after TWO positive test results i decided I had better tell James. So that night while he was at school i went to the party store and bought 50 pink balloons, 50 blue balloons, pink and blue streamers, and the poster you see in the picture. After making sure everything was set up i sat on the couch and waited....and waited...and waited. James had class till 10 but i was too nervous/excited to do anything but sit. So once i heard him pull up i immediatly sat up and waited for him to walk through the door. His reaction was almost exactly how I has imagined it would be...... "Holy Shit" (excuse him) ha ha
So once it really sank in for the both of us and after seeing and hearing that little heartbeat inside of me we could not be happier!!! Pregnancy is such an amazing miracle and I am so blessed that i get to experience it. We get to find out what we are having either next week or the week after so we will for sure let you all know!!

CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!!!
The holidays are my favorite time of year. I love the music, the decorations, drinking hot chocolate, the lights at temple square, the snow, being with my friends and family, and everything else that comes along with it! Although this will be mine and James's second Christmas being married it will be our first to celebrate here in the U.S. Last year at this time we were lucky enough to be able to travel to Lima Peru!! It was such a neat experience. But i must admit, Christmas south of the border is a completly different feeling. Celebrating Christmas in 80 degree weather and having Mcdonalds for dinner was definitly not what we are used to! Although I am happy to be home this year to be with friends and all of our family, I wouldn't change our experience last year for anything! So i was super excited that i got to put up our tree this year!! Even though it doesn't have any lights on it...yet. Both sets of lights i bought dont work, so i went ahead and put on the decorations anyways. You cant really tell from the picture, but it is a full length tree and does go to the floor. Our couches do a pretty good job at covering up the bottom half :)
So I hope that everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I know we will!!

Well this weekend we were able to hang out with a group of our best friends and enjoy our annual PUMPKIN CARVING date. Everyones pumpkins were so much better than last year and we even managed to add one more fun couple to the tradition! After everyone finished up with their pumpkins we enjoyed some home made caremeled apples and went to a HAUNTED CORN MAZE!!!! You would think a group of married college kids would be able to handle a little corn maze, but once we got inside we were like a group of little kids. My cute husband doesn't usually like scary things, but he was a good sport and even put up with a scary movie to end the night! It was such a fun date and we look forward to next year!!!
