Cabin Fun!

A few weeks back James and I were able to go up to Island Park with some friends and hang out at the Crayk cabin. It was a fun trip filled with lots of four wheeling, eating junk food, playing games, laughter, and some much needed R&R! To say that Jaxon was a trooper would be a HUGE understatement! I don't know very many one year olds that could handle a 7.5 hour car ride (thanks to traffic/construction) but Jaxon sure did! He didn't fuss at all! We are so lucky to have such an easy going child. At first he wasn't so sure about the four wheelers, but he quickly adapted. He was clapping his hands and screaming with excitement. Thank you everyone for coming and we sure did miss everyone that couldn't! Hopefully everyone can come next year :)

Is my little one really ONE?!?!

I cannot believe that one year ago from this very moment I had been laying in a hospital bed for 19 hours waiting for the doctor to give me the okay to start pushing. Little did I know it would be a very long, and very grueling 8 more hours until Jaxon Lee Crayk finally decided to make his entrance into this world. Once I heard him cry for the first time, and the very first time the doctor put him in my arms I knew Heavenly Father sent me a very special little boy. Jaxon has been the light of our lives and we love him more than words can say. It is so amazing to see the love that James and I have for each other created this little person that is so dependant on us. He brings so much joy into my life and makes me want to be a better person for him. I know he will be an excellent big brother to his future siblings and we could not have asked for a better child! Sorry about the picture overload, but you only get to be one once right? James thinks I went over the top, but oh well :) These are all pictures from a party we did with our friends. Family party pictures are still to come!

Trying to get all of the kids together was very interesting. Brooklynn was to fast and walked right out of the picture!

These pictures of Z kill me!

Thank you EVERYONE for coming to celebrate Jaxons Birthday!!

This and That

Now that Jaxon is crawling/walking he is ALL OVER the place and into EVERYTHING! He sure gives me a run for my money. He is at such a fun stage and is so curious about everthing. He has been in a forward facing car seat for a while now, and loves to look out the window (unless the sun is shining on his face, he hates that) He hated to crawl on the grass so he would sit there and try to lift up his legs so that the smallest amount of skin touched it as possible, but he has somewhat conquered that phobia. He can crawl into the tiniest nooks and crannies, but cannot seem to crawl back out. He makes some of the funniest sounds right now so i will try to figure out how to post a video because it is so dang cute! But for now, these pics will have to do. Enjoy!

Sleeping in his Big Boy car seat

Not quite sure what to think of the grass

Ooooh I just love him!!!!!!!!

Who would have thought to play UNDER the toy??

Three years already??

This weekend James and I celebrated our THREE year anniversary! Wow has the time flown by! Its so crazy to think that last year at this time I was 9 months pregnant and anxiously waiting for my life to change forever. Needless to say being 9 months prego isnt really the most comfortable feeling in the world so our last anniversary was spent very low key. So this year we SpLUrgEd!!! James booked a getaway package at The Little America downtown and it was SOO perfect! It was a bitter-sweet night being away from Jaxon over night, but it was still great! (thanks mom for watchin him)
On our way down to the hotel James and I talked about our most and least favorite memories from the wedding day and honeymoon. It was fun to talk about that day like it was only yesterday rather than 3 years ago. Some of the things James loved I had totally forgotten about and visa-versa.
Once we arrived to our suite there was a goody bag of treats and drinks waiting for us. It was so nice to just relax the whole day and night with my hubby! We ordered room service (and everything was delicious!!) we went swimming and relaxed in the hot tub, and watched movies in bed. The whole day was perfect.
Thank you sweetie for making this the best three years of my life! I love you more and more every day. Thank you for working so hard and for enduring through school. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I cannot wait to spend 100 more anniversaries with you!

One more thing!

This is the material I bought for the bench cushion. Wont it look GREAT!?

Aint she a BeAUtY!!??

Over Memorial Day weekend James went up to his cabin in Island Park for his annual GUYS fishing trip. This left me home alone for 4 days to get my craft on! This is the amazing KSL beauty I bought a few weeks back for only 20 bucks! What a deal right!? I saw her on line and instantly saw her potential. Luckily I found her before anyone else, because she was only on line for 14 minutes before I called and bought it! It was a good 2 day long process of sanding, priming, sanding again, painting, sanding again, a final coat of paint, and last but not least staining. But I could not be more happy with the end result! She is AMAZING! Now all I have to do is finish up the bench cushion im making for the seat. And then vwa-la, she will be complete! I love turning another mans JUNK into my TREASURE!!

This is how she looked to start out...

First round of sanding the shelves....

sanding the body....

Had to take off all the hinges and screws...

Priming the shelves and doors....
